Oxygen-Containing Gas Phase Negative Ions

by E. B. Rudnyi

It has been found that in the vapors of inorganic compounds at high temperatures there are stable negative ions. It allows us to study these ions, to determine their thermodynamic properties (e.g. electron affinity) and to employ them as a tool for traditional thermodynamic measurements.

All the experiments have been done with the magnet mass spectrometer MKh-1303 re-equipped for ion-molecule equilibria method.
